"Impacting our community" and "Impacting the world" are not just nice sounding slogans at Living Word Christian School. They are ideals we live by. Mission trips and community service opportunities have long been encouraged as part of our vibrant school life.

In 2013, a different kind of mission trip was undertaken by about 80 CHS students, faculty and staff members, and parents for Spring Break, March 8- 12th. Our trip was local. We stayed at a church in St. Louis and worked in the city at various churches doing demolition, cleanup, maintenance, landscaping, etc., as well as building relationships within the neighborhood. It was a terrific opportunity to help close to home.
