Living Word Christian School is an independent, interdenominational, discipleship, Christian school. Serving PK2 through twelfth grade, LWCS is dedicated to teaching students to live biblically through the education of mind, body, and spirit.
With a student/teacher ratio of 12:1 in the preschool, and 8:1 in the 2's, and an average class size of 15 in the elementary, Living Word Christian School affords individualized attention for students.
At the high school, the ratio is 22:1 with an average class size between 20-25.
Living Word offers an exemplary education to children of Christian families, equipping them to be lifetime followers of Jesus Christ. LWCS uses traditional curriculum taught from a Biblical perspective (Christian worldview) and emphasizes critical thinking skills. The elementary campus primarily uses curriculum from ABeka Book, Bob Jones University Press, and Purposeful Design. LWCS also uses Rosetta Stone Language software for school and home use.
Elementary students are offered music, physical education, library/computer lab, and art weekly. Fifth grade band is an optional in- school class. After- school Spanish programs and orchestra classes are also available. Middle and high school students are offered a wide variety of electives. See Course Catalog.
Living Word is not affiliated with any specific church or denomination, but it is our desire to partner with local churches. Currently over 80 local churches are represented within our school. LWCS is an independent, non-denominational school and is affliated with ACSI, a religious school association. We endeavor to teach only the commonalities of faith in Jesus Christ and Godly, Christ-centered living. Families are requested to sign a Statement of Faith prior to enrollment.
